Language games

I found an interesting linguistic game 'Chants of Sennaar'. Once I come home I plan to relive the feeling of playing something on computer. It's a long forgotten kind of leisure as normally nothing manages to grab my attention. I like the idea of deciphering glyphs, the pivotal mechanic of the game. I even tried to invent something on my own. Human+block+letter=reading and so on.

Languages fade away very quickly. Yesterday I met Mehrdâd, a man from Iran, and the beginning of our conversation was beyond clumsy. Without practice Persian weakened terribly and he waited patiently while I was coming up with forming primitive sentences. To think I was teaching it several years ago... But back then I had people to speak to, to stay in form. I don't believe practicing online would have worked as effective as real interaction did. Anyway I switched back my phone and computer to Persian, to surround myself with the language again. Reverted google chrome interface hacks my muscular memory as I move the mouse to the now empty corner of the display.
